It is totally possible. You retain all of your credits anytime you move from school to school. If you are staying at the same school you may have to re-apply, but usually you can go talk to your advisor and tell them the situation and they'll help you get it done.

I dropped out and transfered a bunch. I didn't know what I wanted to do, so after I finished my general credits I left school. I then went to community college for a semester. Community college is a pretty cheap option to continue studies and to fill up your general requirements (those credits transfered to my new school). I dropped out again, went to a school that was very good at my new major and finished.

I think everyone should take at least a year between sophomore and Junior years. You gain maturity and you start to think about what you want to do.

Comment on There are too many business majors in college? by darkvelvetrain

Well, if you think about things a different way, business degrees are high in demand and are one of the easiest ways to independent wealth.

The thing about MBAs is that most people don't go for the prestige of having one, but for the practical application of the degree. Getting one prepares you to finance, operate, and manage your own business. Most people go for the MBA so they can work for themselves or they do so because they're in line for high level management in another business and want to have the competitive edge.

In addition, a large percentage of MBAs also have a secondary degree, or a degree in an unrelated field. JD/MBA, MD/MBA, MPA/MBA, MSW/MBA programs are big, in that they teach a person how to operate their own practice or nonprofit. Its not that the market is saturated with business people, but that professionals do not want to hand 70-80% of what they charge for services to someone who doesn't do the work.

I have just completed my MPA (Master of Public Administration) and plan to get an MBA because, while an MPA prepares you to work with finite resources, understand how to work in government or start a nonprofit, and is excellent for budgeting and human resources training, the MBA takes it to the next level.

Havent you heard? Its not what you know its who you know. Best thing you can do for yourself is establish as many relationships with people as possible and then use those people when you need to market yourself to get a better job. Friends are more then willing to help other friends... or a friend of a friend... get a job.
It also depends on what kind of job experience you have... if you've gone to univ and grad school, but the highest you've ever worked is stocking the shelves at the supermarket, regardless of the paper degrees you have behind you, life experience sometimes matters more then the fact you have a Bachlor of Art diploma

Private student loans are EVIL and should never be taken out under any circumstance. These substandard loans have higher fees, higher interest rates and no government perks. Plus the loan companies have virtually no limits on what a student can borrow, so you see kids 22 years old with debt upwards of 200K and are often qualified to be a Kinder garden teacher... if that!

You should definitely explore governmental loans before turning to private loans. Government loans offer lots of provisions to help you manage and pay down the debt, and they can even offer subsidies if you qualify so that you can avoid interest rates while you're in school.

Step 1 is to fill out a FAFSA: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

You should try to avoid private loans if you can. They often have higher interest rates, no cap on borrowing, and can have lots of hidden fees and terms. Think of private loans as putting your tuition on a credit card. If you miss even one payment, your interest rates could spike up to 20% or higher! Definitely exhaust government loan options before going the private loan route.

Good luck!

If the judge dismissed it, then surely it wouldnt prevent you from getting a job. With your high intelligence and your proof of high intelligence (high GPA), I dont see why they would hold that against you. Especially since marijuana is so commonly used, hasnt been proven to be addictive, and doesnt have as bad of a rep as most drugs as far as being harmful to your health.
Good luck! I want to pursue a career in teaching as well so I hope you get the job!
