I’ve also been told that I have to file a fafsa with my dad until the age of 25, but that’s not right. I’m 19 & on my own so his finances have nothing to do with my college finances. He can’t afford to send me to college for 4 strait years. I’ve heard there is financial aid for those that have lost a parent, but I can’t find it. I need help & would like to avoid college loans as much as possible. Please help me!

Should I start working instead of going to college?
August 19th, 2011Due to procrastination and poor finances at the moment, I can only take two classes in community college, only receiving four credits. I plan to take more classes next semester, but as of now I can only take english and either martial arts or an art class to help me transfer to another school. I find it pointless to go to school everyday for just one, however. I honestly just want to not go to school because of this and just rather lie on a railroad truck and get run over. Should I just not go to school?

I remember when some of my friends went off to college they had some money they could spend from there college loans? August 13th, 2011Okay, so I am currently enrolled in Mizzou and i will be an incoming freshman. I move in really soon like august 17th but there is one problem: my tuition has not been paid off. I still have an outstanding debt of about 15,000 and i have no way of paying that. I can’t take out any private loans because I dont have credit and my mother and other families members either have bad credit and would be denied and cannot cosign for me. What can I do at this point? I am freaking out and move in day is steadily approaching and I really do not want to stay here in Chicago. I have no other schools to go to. Is there any other ways I can finance the rest of what I need? And would the school still allow me to come if everything isnt paid off by the time I get there? Please help me.

My question is, where do they get the money to finance this?
In the state I live, it costs lots of money for international students.
Do they get scholarships? do companies in India pay them their studies? are they a rich minority coming to the US? are their family values really strong and their rich relatives pay them their studies?

Can someone become an art therapist without a college education?
August 7th, 2011I am a 20 year old wanting to know how I can achieve being an art therapist. The school I go to is way out of my price range, and I am financing school myself… I really want to do this and will take any advice on how to do internships and/or pursue this career. Is it possible I teach myself and take a test? Any outlet will work
