I know several people who are currently in debt over 50k+. Many of them I know are majoring in unmarketable majors like philosophy.
Do students make this decision out of ignorance of finance? or do they know what they are getting themselves into?
I mean most college graduates with marketable majors still start at 40k a year. If you are 50k in debt making 40k a year you will be living pretty slim!

I am 37 years old with no college degree ( I decided I needed to get married while attending my freshman year). I have debated over the last four years over whether I should go back to school, get my degree in business finance, and completely change careers. I have a management position in a specialized construction firm and am routinely offered positions with pay that would rival many other degreed professionals but this is not what I aspire to be.
What do you think?

I’m a sophomore at Arcadia High in Arizona and my dream is to go to an out of country college. Last year, when I was a freshman, my eyes were set on Paris, France and that’s why I’m currently taking French, which I’m quite good at. But in the past six months my mom keeps talking about Ireland and how she wants to take a trip there sometime. I’ve looked up expenses and what not since I’m the only one in my family that is technology efficient and through out the search of trip finances I fell in love with their culture and just truly how beautiful the country is I was hooked and dropped Paris.
What I really want to do when I get older is to be either a doctor, Forensics coroner, photographer or an artist. So I’ve looked into some colleges in the US such as Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA but they’re delayed on my email and failed me to send a brochure. So I looked into a few Art colleges and regular universities in Ireland and I can not seem to find any tuition costs.
Anyone have any ideas how much this could cost me??

I’ve heard that international students with same merits as national students don’t get considered equally. Now I’ve also heard that if you can afford college and prove it, you will get considered equally. Do you think the chances are the same as a national student if finances are proven or chances are still quite slim?
hmm seems good
