Is their a difference between Baruch and Brooklyn college?

I am more concerned with your ability to perform well after graduating and getting a job or at least getting into a good graduate school. I can’t care less about how pretty the school looks or something.
Is an Economic Degree sufficient for Accounting after college?
Sunday, August 29th, 2010I would like to work finance/accounting after college. But my University only offers degrees in Management Science and Economics. I’m leaning towards doing Economics. I was wondering if it was possible to get a job working either finance or accounting with an Econ degree?
Also.. a lot of jobs prefer majors that involve business, financing, or accounting.
Would a degree in Economics fall under those categories?

Should I major in Accounting or Finance in college?
Tuesday, August 10th, 2010I am in my 1st semester of my sophomore year in college, and I am unsure if I should major in Accounting or Finance. My friend who seems to have alot more opportunities than I do is majoring in Finance and can possibly have an internship at Goldman Sachs or JP Morgan Chase. He is a Finance major. I know there are plenty of opportunities as being an Accounting major, but I am still unsure exactly which one has the better opportunities?
Is accounting truly harder than finance in college?
Friday, July 23rd, 2010I’m going into college and was wondering how much harder accounting is than finance cause I figure since I’m already doing a quantitative major (finance) why not go a small step further (accounting)?? But is really that much harder?? My friend wasn’t smart but only dedicated and he got past accounting and got a degree in it. Do u have to be really smart to do accounting??
