I am majoring in Finance but it seems like now everyone is majoring in business. Therefore, it will become difficult/competitive to get jobs because everyone has the degree and it may end up not looking that special because just about everyone will have one. What happened to all other fields of study. Ina few years college will just be changed to colleges of business (LOL) because no one wants to major in other fields, leading the fields of business to be very competitive.

Thursday, September 8th, 2011I’m going for grad school because I want to get the opportunity to be a manager. Since I didn’t come from one of the business fields, (sales, marketing, finance/accounting), and came from engineering instead, there’s no promotion path for me.
But it seems pretty hard to get into grad school (besides joke grad schools like U Phoenix) in the first place. It almost feels like the college admissions council gets to decide whether I can become a manager more than the people at any job I’m at.
Does anyone know if you can teach college with a possession charge?

I have a marijuana charge but the judge dismissed it because I had a medical marijuana card (I’m from California). Do you think this will prevent me from getting a job? I have a 3.75 GPA.

Why do students take out enormous loans to go to a lower ranking private college over a state university?
Saturday, August 6th, 2011I know several people who are currently in debt over 50k+. Many of them I know are majoring in unmarketable majors like philosophy.
Do students make this decision out of ignorance of finance? or do they know what they are getting themselves into?
I mean most college graduates with marketable majors still start at 40k a year. If you are 50k in debt making 40k a year you will be living pretty slim!

I have always wanted to work in London and feel if I don’t do it soon I’ll never be able to. If hired, I plan on remaining there for at least two years.

Monday, July 4th, 2011Hi all, I am a senior in high school and next year I will be attending Ohio State University. I am uncertain of what major would fit me the best. Since I do not fully know about each one, I figured I could possibly get some help on here on which might suit me better. I will at least go to college for 4 years, possibly 6. What I want more than anything is a job paying over 100k a year in Manhattan where I work in a building-office type setting wearing a suit everyday. My main interests are computers and business. I find myself to be very good and fast with numbers, but when it comes to really in-depth math and science, I am not so good. I have been recently working on my communication skills and plan to improve them through college. Two majors I have been looking into are finance and computer science. Like I said before, I do not know everything about either so I would like to hear what you think would be the best for me.
