What company can I work for in LA that will pay for my college education?
Monday, August 29th, 2011I want to go to college @ Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA but it’s quite expensive. I have applied for loans, grants, scholarships etc. But still don’t have enough finances to attend the institute. I am looking for a company that will pay for my tuition or @ least pay a portion of it. The school is for audio engineering, and music business! Thanx
Choosing college tips for parents of soon-to-be freshman?
Tuesday, February 1st, 2011It will soon be time to help my son choose a college. I would appreciate any tips from "veteran" parents (or college students past or present) and also on creative financing, grants, etc. I’m starting early to try to be as informed as I can. Thanks!
What is the best way to finance my child's college education?
Saturday, January 8th, 2011We are middle income and according to FAFSA we don’t qualify for any grants and only minimal federal loans. Commercial loans seem like an expensive option. What about something like an equity line of credit with our credit union? Are there other options?
Financing a community college education?
Friday, October 8th, 2010My boyfriend still has no idea what he wants to do as a career at 21 and he’s been out of school for four years. Currently, he is working as an electronics clerk in a department store. I’m trying to help him get started with community college. The only problem is that he doesn’t have much money to go to school. I am starting study at a university this fall, and my education is mostly funded by grants I received from my school and loans offered from filling out my FAFSA. Is a community college education funded the same way?
Now, if we did manage to get the money for him to start school, what kind of classes should he take? As I said before, he has no idea what he wants to do. Is there a general education degree he can receive? He didn’t do that well in high school and never took the SAT’s, would that be a problem?

How can I finance a college education?
Monday, August 23rd, 2010I am currently on my 2nd year at a local college. I commute to school and live at home so it does save money. But for my next two years, I would like to finish at a larger university. This will be more expensive, however, considering the fact that these schools are farther away and would require expenses for housing. I am not in a position with a lot of money and I would like to know if there are any ways that I can get loans and aid to cover the whole expenses? If so, how?
I know about scholarships, and grants. BUT CAN LOANS COVER THE WHOLE TUITION?
College financing options?
Friday, May 14th, 2010I’m a 21 year old who didn’t go to college right out of high school. I’m out on my own now, and ready to take the plunge into continuing my education. I need a little help with financing though. Most scholarships are designed for high school seniors, and I have found it difficult to come across one that is not. I’m a little wary of taking out loans or grants, as I’ve just repaired my credit and do not want to ruin it again. I have heard that Obama had passed some bills regarding financial aid, but I have yet to look into that.
Could anybody help me out? I’m sure I’m not alone in this.
Just a few links or words of wisdom would be great ![]()
Thank you in advance!
