What company can I work for in LA that will pay for my college education?

Monday, August 29th, 2011

I want to go to college @ Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA but it’s quite expensive. I have applied for loans, grants, scholarships etc. But still don’t have enough finances to attend the institute. I am looking for a company that will pay for my tuition or @ least pay a portion of it. The school is for audio engineering, and music business! Thanx

Where do all the people from India get the money to attend college in US?

Tuesday, August 9th, 2011

There are a lot of people from India coming to the US to take college in a Technology related major.

My question is, where do they get the money to finance this?
In the state I live, it costs lots of money for international students.

Do they get scholarships? do companies in India pay them their studies? are they a rich minority coming to the US? are their family values really strong and their rich relatives pay them their studies?

Thanks.

College financing and social life. Your opinions, please?

I’m currently in college. I’m 18 and have been working since I was 15. I actually attend a community college because I can’t afford anything else and I won’t be able to pay for a Bachelor’s degree with my pay when the time comes to transfer. I’m going to be working all summer at 40+ hours a week doing 3 jobs to be able to pay for school. The only thing is that I reeeeeallly want to leave home and live in a dorm, but I’m stuck living at home. I feel like I’ll miss a lot if I don’t move away to college and live at home. I have friends, but they’re all from my work place, so we’re not close. It’s almost impossible to make friends at community college. I don’t have a boyfriend, and sometimes I feel like I won’t ever find a guy that likes me, and I like him, unless I leave home and live on a campus. The problem is that I can’t get any loans because I’m apparently not old enough to get a loan, I’m under 24. My parents make a lot of money, but they can’t help me because they’re in sooooo much debt. I can’t get any scholarships because I’m white girl, just like tons of other poor college students. What do you suggest?

What are some good ways to finance college?

Sunday, March 6th, 2011

I really don’t want to resort to getting loans so that’s out of the question. I do have a part time (I just started though) and I’m trying to get my hands on some scholarships but if I don’t manage to, what are some other ways to pay. The college I’ve been accepted to asks for about 22G a year.

How do you finance a private college education?

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

I’m a senior in high school (class of 2008) who plans on majoring in engineering (biomedical or chemical)… I have fell in love with two private colleges with price tags of about ,000 a year, but my state’s university cost is about ,000 a year. I would perfer to go to a private college because of the small class sizes, more attention, better facilities, and better professors. The thing is that my family is middle class and we wouldn’t qualify for much, if any, financial aid, and therefore would not in any way be able to afford that ,000 a year. Anyone have any suguestions on how to find good scholarships or how to mazimize my financial aid?
I have a 93 average, CR+M SAT 1420, and CR+M+W SAT 2040. I am also taking all AP and Honors classes and as I said I’m interested in Chemical or Biomedical Engineering… any opinions about possible colleges would also be appreciated!

Financing a college education??

Saturday, September 4th, 2010

I am a junior in high school. My parents have absolutely NO money to send me to college and so they are thinking of sending me to a community college for two years when I really don’t want to go. As cliche as it sounds, I want to go away to college and have that full college experience, not stay at home and go to community college. I am an international student and i want to attend college in the states, but the fees are monstrous. Could you name me some good schools that offer excellent scholarships and stuff…because i really need it. Btw, I have a 3.7 gpa

How can I finance a college education?

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

I am currently on my 2nd year at a local college. I commute to school and live at home so it does save money. But for my next two years, I would like to finish at a larger university. This will be more expensive, however, considering the fact that these schools are farther away and would require expenses for housing. I am not in a position with a lot of money and I would like to know if there are any ways that I can get loans and aid to cover the whole expenses? If so, how?
I know about scholarships, and grants. BUT CAN LOANS COVER THE WHOLE TUITION?
